Plasmodium vivax in thick film stained with Giemsa 1 in 25 for 25 minutes. Compare with other Plasmodium spp. (research) slides which have been prepared using different amounts of blood to determine the best method to diagnose the parasite infection. Malarial parasites clearly seen against a pale clean background.
